Message from the president

Kaye Academic College of Education in Be’er Sheva has recently celebrated its 70th anniversary. We are proud to be one of Israel’s largest and leading teacher-training institutions. The College has a student body of approximately 4,300 students; half are pursuing Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, with the remainder in professional development programs for active educators already integrated into the school system.

We train educators for all age groups from kindergarten through elementary and high school. Kaye College offers programs in Special Education, Physical Education, Mathematics, and the Sciences, enabling students to choose from diverse disciplines ranging from the Humanities, Languages, Hebrew and Arabic Literature, the Arts, to the Sciences, Mathematics, and more.

Kaye College is dedicated to shaping the next generation of teachers for southern Israel and the nation as a whole. Our graduates hold key positions throughout the education system, including senior administrative positions.

Over the years, the College has championed equality, coexistence, and multiculturalism, proudly training both Bedouin and Jewish students side by side. Many of our Bedouin students are first-generation college students, and we are proud to play a role in driving social mobility within Israeli society.

Recently, we launched a multi-dimensional initiative focused on developing, promoting, and integrating advanced technologies into the world of education and teaching.  We are currently in the advanced stages of establishing a “Digital Learning Space” designed to serve as a model for the “Classroom of Tomorrow.” This center will feature cutting-edge technologies,  such as simulators, Virtual Reality (VR) headsets, and immersive learning environments. With the establishment of this center on campus, we plan to mobilize these technologies using specialized mobile units to reach isolated communities in the south, particularly the dispersed Bedouin communities in the Negev. Our goal is to expose remote populations of teachers and students to these essential tools. These mobile units are designed to be deployed to conflict zones to support students displaced from their schools during wartime and other crisis situations  to ensure learning continuity. I believe that the techno-pedagogical infrastructure we are building here at Kaye College will provide solutions for a wide range of future scenarios.

We aim to become a national center for the implementation of educational technology. By advancing the adoption and application of these tools among educators and students alike, we ensure that both groups have the opportunity to master the technologies of the future.

At Kaye College, we are dedicated to providing our students with the highest quality academic education, solidifying our reputation as a leader in training Israel’s future generations of teachers.

We  invite you to visit us.
